[Music: “All You Need Is Love”, The Beatles, 1967]
Dreams overnight of light fracturing, with mirrors everywhere. There were light beams from behind which then split, reflected and curved somehow.
Walking with Luke after intercessory prayers, and the phrase “visioning the future” is in the forefront of my thinking, so I pray out loud:
“Make me a vision-runner, Lord! When we are tasked, commanded to ‘Seek first the Kingdom of God’, show us, Lord, how and what to do first, and next and next. I know you have told me that we are ‘not on a wartime footing’, and I pray for insight and foresight in that. What would you have me say or write about that? What can your reawakened world look like? What does a world-wide year of ‘rest’ feel like? Can we even understand Peace? Will we embrace a complete slowdown, and not be afraid?”
The instant I am done speaking, I hear him say,
Fear not, My child.
“Show us Your vision, my great I AM!”
Again, an immediate reply,
Consider, child, the mountains brought low. (Isiah 40)
What will your world ‘look like’ when this occurs? Fear not.
Consider again, child, every word that speaks of what you ‘see’ as vision, child.
And indeed, live your lives in faith, in love, and not by sight.
All my considering takes me to Strong’s Concordance where I find these items:
Vision (2372) chazah – to gaze at; to mentally perceive, contemplate; specifically, to have a vision of; behold, look, prophesy, provide, see.
Also (4758) mareh – a view (the act of seeing); also, an appearance (the thing seen)
Also (7200) raah – to see (the Greek horama/horao, to discern clearly)
