Dream recall:
I was in a throng, a multitude of people and we were all moving along together. We were walking, and the Lord Jesus was leading the way. He was surrounded by masses of people so I could only see His head and shoulders, wearing a brilliant white hooded tunic or robe. He was moving swiftly, and the entire mass of people was walking swiftly as well. There was not a sense of urgency, but of walking as fast as He was leading.
There was music, song, talking and laughter swirling through the air.
Walk with Me, I heard Him exhorting the people. He turned His head slightly to look me directly in the eye; I believe He looked at every single person there, each one. He winked ever so slightly, grinned and motioned forward with a little nod of his head.
Take My hand, I heard Him say to some children trotting alongside.
Then there was another loud command to the people, His beautiful voice rolling:
Don’t look back! Just stay with Me.
I was up near the front of the crowd, but as we came up on a small rise, I could see a bit behind me – there were thousands upon thousands of people, all moving along at a swift, sure pace. The road we were on seemed to be made of small, smooth stones, I noticed. And then I was aware of this sweeping motion overhead, many things were flying ahead of the crowd, just over our heads and laying themselves down to become the road that Jesus and the crowd were walking on. My vision intensified and I realized with a shock that it was saints and believers, ones who had already joined in Heaven, flying over our heads! As they went to the front, they were each transformed into a smooth 5-sided stone, which was then laid down perfectly in a mosaic on the ground with the others to form the road that we were walking on. The edges of each stone were smooth and softly rounded.
With another start I realized that far, far behind us, as the crowd passed by, the stones were picked up again and brought forward like a long, sweeping, living conveyor belt.
Under my feet I now could see the eyes and faces of the saints as they laid themselves down for Jesus and for all of us, and their joy was warmth underfoot.
I did not look back, but as the road came upon another small rise, I could see in my peripheral vision low hills and small mountains beyond. There was lightning and smoke far to the left and right, and behind us, I knew. Suddenly I also knew why we were warned not to look back, because there was destruction there. But all those visions were swept away as we moved along with the Lord.
This music was joyfully filling the air: Mick Jagger and Peter Tosh singing,
… If you just put your hand in mine
We’re gonna leave all our troubles behind
Gonna walk and don’t look back
Gonna walk and don’t look back …
