Recalling dreams from overnight:
Judith and I were with a crowd of others – our church, the remnant – and we had a large old truck.
We had rescued and freed a number of ‘political’ prisoners and were slowly driving them through city streets to some sort of official government “palace.” The remnant walked along behind the truck.
As we arrived, the buildings looked imposing, but they were evil things, reeking of lies, arrogance, greed, corruption, pompous monuments to false rulers. The evil rulers, acting like kings surrounded with potentates, thought we were bringing the prisoners for judgement – but oh, how wrong!
We drove the truck, with all the people following, through the outer entrance, into a large courtyard, and through another gate. Then without any effort, drove the truck up the steps of the main building and into a large ornate “court” room or “throne” room. The prisoners hopped out of the back of the truck, while the “rulers” and sycophants began to scatter and run for the exits.
The large room had been cheaply gold painted and strewn with silly gilt-edged framed portraits of the false rulers. There were rows of ornate windows high on the walls. Suddenly the room and entire building began to transform itself into a working space, with tools, workshops, storage spaces, all with wooden walls and ceilings. The feelings of happiness and usefulness were tangible.
While I watched from a distance, Judith was fixing the drivers-side door of the old truck, demonstrating to the other women how to do it. She was drilling and riveting the metal pieces together. The truck itself seemed to smile.
Natural light began to once again flood in through open doors. Everyone had work, and tasks to accomplish; sounds of laughter rang through the air.
