I had taken the car into a shop for some new tires and was sitting outside in the warm morning air at a nearby coffee shop, waiting. I was considering a journey with the Lord, when Spirit moved me to ask, “Where are we, Lord, where are we going?”

            You are my navigator, are you not? When you set the scene, you are marking your position in time and space, but that position is not static – it is dynamic.

            Ask me now and ask me again. You may think the answer is different, and your answer may be different when people ask you.

            Yet you, my watchman, my vine-dresser, you know the note that is true in the wind. And you know the difference between My wind and the winds that swirl and buffet.

            You know to trust your internal Spirit, your inertial senses that tell you to trust and obey, when your earthly dashboard is saying “check engine.”

            Consider My non-dimensional charts, child, to remember navigation in the Spirit. I set course and direction, speed and certainty. I know when your obedience sings in the wind like a magnificently tuned backstay.

            Put your fingers on My sail and touch My driving force. Set your face forward and your eyes to My horizon. You are arriving though you do not yet see the coast nor light of port.

            You are at General Quarters, even at Battle Stations. Do not relent, but Love.
